The 260th Anniversary of the Birth of Robert Burns
Robert Burns is a celebrated Scottish poet and songwriter.
He is widely considered the national poet of Scotland and was an
important influence on the early Romantic Movement.
During his lifetime, he was well known, but gained little financial compensation for his works.
However, after his death, his reputation blossomed and he became an icon of Scottish Culture.
Burns Night is celebrated on or near his birthday of January 25th, with Burns Suppers around the world.
Piping, Drumming, Highland Dancing, Traditional Toasts, Haggis, Cash Bar, Silent Auction,
Ceilidh Dancing led by Chandi McCracken-Holm with music by Dalwhinnie.
Any proceeds exceeding Burns Supper expenses will go to support the Minnesota Scottish Fair & Highland Games.
